Some people have asked me how I went about finding a cover artist. I was actually searching through Imgur (a funnies website that’s turned very political lately due to the US shenanigans) when I came across a post about fantasy artists. An author stated that she had used Instagram to follow a few fantasy art collaborative posters. She searched through to find the art she liked then made contact with the artists to see if they commissioned.
It didn’t seem so hard, so I did the same. And let me tell you, there are HEAPS of hugely talented digital and physical medium visual artists on there. I found Nino Is\’s profile and sent him, and a few others, a message to enquire and place an EOI. He emailed back and detailed his work and what to expect, including costs.
The rest, as we say, is history. I will certainly be going back to him once I (finally) get time to finish Book Two in the series.
In the meantime, check out some of the other art by Nino Is, a truly talented digital artist.
